As Southern Oregon University's official student-run newspaper, The Siskiyou has two main goals. First, we present students, faculty and staff, the events and issues of the Southern Oregon University campus, through news, features, profiles, and sports activities, as well as, the Ashland community, in an unbiased manner. Second, we provide hands-on learning opportunities for students of any major who wish to learn and develop their skills in the fields of communication, journalism and media arts. Along with covering campus news, many community events and places of interest are covered when they apply to student’s interest or concern.
